Emory University MatheMatics Association

EUMMA

EUMMA is a social organization for students at Emory with an interest in mathematics.

The association hosts lectures by faculty, panel discussions on topics including applying to graduate schools, internship and other opportunities, as well occasional events such as game nights, outdoor games and movie screenings.

While many of our members are either math majors or minors, this is certainly not a requirement; we invite and encourage anyone with an interest in mathematics to come to our meetings and join in on our activities.

Emory Mathematics and Other Disciplines Association

e-MODA

Emory Mathematics and Other Disciplines Association is a virtual club in the department of Mathematics.

Its goal is to show the connections and interactions between mathematics and other subjects, such as Music, Dance, Medicine, Chemistry, Sociology, et cetera.

Through the club, we create an opportunity for undergraduates to have scheduled meetings and talks, and find a way to talk to experts in mathematics and other disciplines.
On the other hand, we give students a way to reach out to their peers presenting their research or sharing what they intend to do. Students’ creativity and rigor are on display to foster enthusiasm towards an interdisciplinary approach to math.
Fun Fact - MODA is the Italian and Spanish word for FASHION
